Project Description

Murders that Matter is a PBS-aired film by award-winning director Marco Williams. It follows an African American Muslim mother in Philadelphia, as she transforms from a victim of violent trauma into a fierce advocate against gun violence.

The Need: The Murders That Matter team needed a pitch deck they could submit to major networks and grants to secure funding and distribution.

The Solution: I devised unique slides that would help the film stand out from its competitors. Rather than rely solely on text, I also incorporated hard-hitting statistics, along with sound bites and visuals from the director and characters to infuse the deck with emotion.

The deck successfully secured major grants and tv distribution.
